  15. I have been accused of spamming in favor of the TYIN modems (which we
  16. don't sell) and the shareware we have developed for them for internal
  17. use and have been urged to offer to the public. Well, quite a few
  18. users are complaining here about current voice modem sound quality. 
  19. To the best of my knowledge, voice modems today use 4800KHz/4bit
  20. samples for voice, which sounds rather poor compared to the TYIN's
  21. 8KHz/8bit sound. How about starting here an open debate (and a good
  22. spirited one...) regarding voice modems and which sound best and are
  23. reliable? This might be interesting, since we will not deal with
  24. "hype" but rather direct user opinions.
